How to make a quote in four steps
- Pick a template, then fill in your name or business and your client.
- Give the quote a number and a date, and say how long the price stays valid.
- Add a line for each product or job, with the quantity and price. Add tax if you charge it.
- Check the preview and download the quote as a PDF. Send it to your client.
A good quote has your details and your client’s, a quote number, the date and how long it is valid, what you will do with a price for each line, any tax, the total, and what happens when the client says yes.

Is this quote generator free?
Yes. No account, no watermark and no limit. Make as many quotes as you like.
Is a quote the same as an estimate?
Close. A quote is a fixed price your client can accept. An estimate is a best guess that may change. Use the name your clients expect; the layout is the same.
Does my client have to sign?
Not in this generator: it makes a document you send yourself. In the Jiffy app your client can sign the quote on their phone, and you turn it into an invoice with one tap.
Do you see what I type?
