On the invoice
What a contractor usually puts on an invoice
Clients compare the invoice with the estimate they signed. Make that easy:
- The job address, if it is not the client’s address.
- The number of the estimate the work is based on.
- Labour and materials on separate lines, with hours or quantities.
- Extra work that was not in the estimate, on its own line.
- Deposits or earlier payments already made, and the amount still due.
- Payment terms and your payment details.
Choosing
Choosing a template for your trade
The blueprint, with grid paper and a title block for project and sheet number, suits builders and installers. The dark header with a hazard stripe reads strong and honest. Proud of your craft? The double border with a round “since” emblem says so. The timeline lays out the job step by step.
Making estimates too? Your client signs the estimate on their phone, and one tap turns it into the invoice: see the estimate app and the invoice app for contractors.

FAQ
Good questions.
Which construction templates come with Pro?
The first 3: the craft emblem, the blueprint and the monospaced one with numbered fields. The other 7 need Ultra.
Can I turn an estimate into an invoice?
Yes. Open the accepted estimate and tap “To invoice”: Jiffy makes the invoice with the same lines, the payment schedule and any deposit already paid.
Can I bill a job in installments?
Yes, on every plan. Add a deposit and up to 11 more installments, as a percentage or a fixed amount. Your client sees what to pay and when.
Can I add my logo?
Yes, on Pro and Ultra. Upload your logo once and your invoices and estimates carry it.
