Free hair salon invoice template
Most salon clients pay at the chair, so an invoice is for the exceptions: a wedding party, a regular on a monthly account, a photoshoot or a booth renter. The template below bills a bridal hair party with the services and the products listed, and can be reshaped for corporate clients or booth rent.
Edit it for your own service menu and save the PDF from this page. No account, nothing uploaded. If you work with a makeup artist or photographer, send them to the right page, like the photography invoice template.

What goes on it
What to put on an invoice for hair stylists and salons

- Each service from your menu: cut, color, highlights, treatments, styling, blowout
- Time-based services at the agreed price or the hourly chair rate
- Retail products sold or used, with quantity and price
- Travel, early or after-hours fees, and any trial or consultation
- Deposit paid, any gift card or credit applied, and the balance due
- Your cancellation policy and how to pay
How you bill
How stylists and salons bill
Salon services are priced from a menu: a cut, a single-process color, highlights, a keratin treatment. Color is often priced by time or by the amount of product. Bridal and group bookings are priced per person, with a trial, a travel fee and an early-start fee. These are the cases when a formal invoice is worth sending.
A booking deposit of 25 to 50 percent is the best protection against no-shows on big days. Product sales go on separate lines, and gift cards or credits are shown as negative lines. If you rent a chair or booth to other stylists, rent is a monthly invoice, which suits recurring invoices, created for you on the same date each month.

Tips to get paid faster
- For group bookings, itemize each person or each service, and list who is covered. It prevents confusion on the day.
- Collect a deposit at booking for weddings and large groups. A reserved morning is income you cannot make up.
- Mention your cancellation policy on the invoice, in the same wording as the booking.
- Send the invoice the same day as the service for any client who is not paying at the chair.
- Offer card payment through a link on the invoice. See online payments; the client can pay from their phone.
Watch out
Common invoice mistakes
- Forgetting early-start and travel fees on bridal bookings because they were agreed by message
- Not showing a deposit already paid, so the client thinks the total is wrong
- Billing rent to booth renters irregularly, so it stops being a priority for them

FAQ
Questions
What should a hair salon invoice include?
Your salon details, the client, the date, each service with its price, products, travel or early-start fees, deposits or gift cards applied, the total, and how to pay.
When do salons need an invoice?
For weddings, events, corporate bookings, regular accounts and booth rental. Walk-in clients usually pay at the chair with a receipt.
How do I show a gift card?
Add a negative line, such as "Gift card applied", so the balance due is what remains.
Is this hair salon invoice template free?
